It’s an exciting time for us Filipino speech-language pathologists as we once again look forward to the much-awaited PASP Convention 2018. The theme of this year’s biennial convention is Transcend: Moving Toward Excellence in Practice. Through this convention, we aim to transcend fundamental knowledge and skills by providing you with in-depth lectures on a variety of topics, interactive workshops, as well as oral and poster presentations. This gathering will definitely be a milestone in ensuring the highest standards in our profession!

Another momentous aspect of our convention is the participation of esteemed guest speakers from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). I am immensely pleased to extend our warm welcome to our colleagues from ASHA. We are deeply honored to work in partnership with you to guarantee a productive learning endeavor.

In line with our theme: Transcend, we want to extend our invitation and gracious welcome not only to the members of our association, but also to speech-language pathologists from other countries; our collaborators from the medical, allied medical, and educational fields; and the dear parents and family members of our clients. Our diverse topics will provide you with a deeper understanding and appreciation of speech and language assessment and intervention across various disorders. 

Furthermore, this will be a great opportunity to network and build professional ties. It is part of our vision for PASP to build stronger interprofessional relations that will fortify the foundation for practice and research partnership.
